Let us know your decision after the price hike

I had CallVantage up to a year ago and left for a VoIP with lower cost and more features. The CV service was very good, except for the annoyance of having to confirm that I did not move the TA every time we had the slightest power glitch.

But may I suggest that if you decide to try another VoIP service, get a new number with that service and test it out during a trial period before canceling CallVantage. If you want to hold on to your present phone number, as most folks seem to, porting away from AT&T may be easy but porting back from another VoIP to CallVantage may be difficult or impossible.

Yes, I agree, it was very good. And I totally agree about the issue with having to confirm my address everytime the slightest power thing happens. I plan on getting me a UPS to fix that.

I do plan on trying Vonage if AT&T decides to pull anything price wise. If after the price raise with these bogus fees, they continue to raise it, I'll be leaving for Vonage or Comcast Digital Voice, whichever one can port my CV number and get me online with the least hassel.

I've had my number for 4 years and don't wanna lose it, but if it comes down to it, I will to get going again.

Thanks for the reply and I hope I stay where I am. At least until U-Verse Voice cans the CV service altogether.
