Re: [Thunderbird] Uses LOTS of disk space - can't clean up It seems I vaguely remember the old Netscape Mail doing a compact on every folder I clicked on every great while. Is THAT why? ... automatic only on DST changes? I never knew what set that off because I think compacting folders was a manual operation then.
Just do what I told the OP to do here and your won't need to bother with that anymore.
