| [OOL] Slow Downstream tonight
I live in Centereach and tonight at about 4PM, my downstream decreased drastically... I am uploading at 4.4Mbps and downloading at 1.5Mbps...
Called CV, they said it is my settings (as they usually do).
Three of my neighbors are also experiencing the same situtation. They insist that it is our computer's giving us grief... |

I didn't bother calling tech support. I don't have the patience. But I did post on OOL Direct and haven't received a reply yet.
Ooops...it's gotten worse. Lates speedtest = ~1200 kb/s down. Upstream still nominal at 4+ mb/s/ |

Slow as s**t here too in Smithtown. Never seen it this slow. You Tube keeps freezing up on my ipod Touch.

Just reported it to OOL tech support. He said he did notice a problem at one of the central offices. I think he saw packet loss. He said it should be repaired in 2-4 hours.
Let's hope.. |

Slow speeds here in 11204 also. Its actually been going on for a few months now but tonight seems to be the worst. Does everyone else also get these issues only during primetime hours (5-6pm to 12-1am est)? |
