We have one that one cable is aerial and the other one is buried right below the other one to the same building.

Ideally, the cable is in different physical locations (different streets) and enters the building from different locations.

For my company, the minimum requirement for 'limited diversity' is seperate ducts in the same structure. For full diversity, seperate duct-structures (although still allowed on the same road, as long as they are on different sides) is the minimum seperation allowed.

We will also lease facilities off other providers to provide diversity, if we can't build it ourselves...

If the ring tends to collapse and both sides of ring approach each other, are there industry standards or other guidelines for what the minimum seperation should be to reduce risk of a cut to both fiber bundles...say with a backhoe.
