I have a Panasonic and there is a setting for HD size. You can pick 1 or 2. I had is set to 2 which came recommended but switched to 1 which make the image very slighter larger enough to get rid of the lines. There was a yellow on the left and green on the right. Didn't notice any overlap. When watching live HD broadcasts like the news there is no grainy picture looks like it did before the upgrade.
