Re: new IMG and worse picture quality Count me in. Sound is out of sync also. Going to call Verizon for replacement STB when I can get the time.
FYI - AVS forum has a dedicated thread on the QIP6416 (HD DVR) STB. Lots of complaints about stuttering and overall poor PQ.»www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthre···&page=97
Note: If you change the output resolution in the IMG, the 4:3 override settings reverts back to "stretch" or something like that. That means if you had it set to OFF, it's back ON. PITA.
To fix: Go into the diagnostics menu and change the 4:3 override back to OFF (OFF means 4:3 will be scaled to 1080i).
New for the IMG upgrade: "Power Off - Select - Menu" will get you into the diagnostics menu. |
