Re: Way overmoderated and censored here ????

I don't think they are limiting topics. You are free to have topics on whatever you choose. What they are doing is keeping the forum orderly, hopefully so stuff is easy to find. It does no one any good to have a question regarding the IMG and having 100 different IMG threads where that particular question is hidden in any 1 of the threads.

I agree, sometimes threads get long, making them tough to navigate (and certainly daunting to read), but at the same time, its very tough to navigate 100 threads all on the same topic as well. Then you have no choice but to read ALL of the threads instead of just searching 1 thread for what it is you want.

Further, how does one keep a complete list of what bug is associated with which version of the IMG if the comments are all spread out on the forum? Imagine if there were 100 thread on HD channels, but only one thread had the post you were looking for that had the link to a press release regarding the next set of channels available on fios?

I dunno, I don't see a problem with gently asking folks to keep their comments in the same place. After gently asking (multiple times), moderators stop asking and starting doing (by locking threads).
