| reply to aefstoggaflm This is an area that I'm still futzing with.
Uninstallers are pretty similar IMHO. The feature I'm still evaluating and really want to have is an 'installation monitoring' component of the program. Meaning that it watches + records everything that the program does/creates so that when it uninstalls it, every last shred is removed.
I use Windows, I use a program's uninstaller, I may use TuneUp or CCleaner but am still looking for one with monitoring function. Right now using a sandbox is my work-around.
As it is now no 'only uninstaller' that will remove things like armadillo entries which are always left behind, so I'm still looking and hoping for maybe free. -- Was a Cruise Fanatic, one cruise on Princess cured me. Bleah |

| reply to aefstoggaflm CleanSweep was never a part of Windows. It was a separate program and eventually Symantec took it on and as far as I remember made no significant changes.
I gave up on it because it didn't like XP. -- This post printed on 100% recycled bytes |

| reply to aefstoggaflm Normally I just drag the folder to the trash in OS X. But sometimes AppZapper is helpful in finding all the folders (including pref/support)and deleting them in one swoop if I am lazy.
For Windows I use CC TU |
