I voted Windows Add/Remove.
I'll generally do a manual search for remnants left behind when I'm done though.

Have also been 'playing around' with Revo Uninstaller a bit, after seeing it mentioned here. (I've actually had that on a Thumb Drive for quite a while and forgot all about it...nice GUI). :)

However as we all know it leaves Folders (sometimes empty but oftentimes not), as well as .dll & .dat files scattered around on my NTFS C drive. Knowing that, I use Windows Explorer and manually delete any of the aforementioned items I can see or find.

If the program is more entrenched, such as my currently installed Norton Internet Security 2008 program, first I run Registry Mechanic from PC Tools because it's not quite as aggressively scary to me as CCleaner, then I'll run CCleaner to see if it picks up anything.
One thing I always appreciate about the Polls is that they include links to the programs so I get to learn something new, which is always the case on this site.

For older programs I basically use the Windows A/R, Ccleaner or the uninstaller in JV16 power tools.
For newer installs I use snapshots to restore to a prior state. EAZ-FIX pro.
Not an uninstaller per say, but it does go back as if the program never existed.

When I'm in the Windows world that is. Which is less and less everyday. Don't have to do all that time consuming BS in Linux. Can actually play on the all day and be done, just like that!

Uninstallers are pretty similar IMHO. The feature I'm still evaluating and really want to have is an 'installation monitoring' component of the program. Meaning that it watches + records everything that the program does/creates so that when it uninstalls it, every last shred is removed.

I use Windows, I use a program's uninstaller, I may use TuneUp or CCleaner but am still looking for one with monitoring function. Right now using a sandbox is my work-around.

As it is now no 'only uninstaller' that will remove things like armadillo entries which are always left behind, so I'm still looking and hoping for maybe free.
