| [Equipment] obsolete installation dsl disk
I am a brand new dsl customer and was sent the modem and installation disk. After installation and a system reboot, my computer totally stalled and basically would not boot up. After hours and hours of research and work arounds, I found out the installation disk furnished me was obsolete. My neighbor was mailed the same version 5. I know accidents happen but I lost the use of my computer for 3 entire days because of their mistake and had I been less knowledgeable I might have lost my entire hard drive or had to pay a tech person an enormous amount of money to fix. I am just angry that all I got from the tech rep was an oops. I don't know what I expect, but it sure needs to be more than that.  |
