 Windows Live Messenger Scam

BE AWARE

There are a few sites that con people to up their username and password to "Look up people that have you blocked\deleted from their friends list".

The site looks harmless, and there is a abundance of users that simply have no clue, and\or concern about this.

The scam is, you enter your name and password and it reveals some hidden capabilities.

The facts are, it signs in on your account, and spams your friends and monitors the conversations, obviously.
Also if you think your safe cause you dont give out that info, and have messenger tightened up, your friends are the ones sending the crap, so you might as well delete all of them too.

Who knows what the links have in store, but this is just a blatant flaw and I think, against the law.

There are different sites that con n00bs out of their user\passwords, I think the cameras are tied into this also.

There is one way to fix this, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD, immediately.

Also on the new Windows Live Messenger Beta 9.0.1407, there is a option to only be signed in on one place at a time.

Here's a mention of it: »www.symantec.com/enterprise/secu···pam.html

Apparently you don't need to be signed in and this person said she changed her password.

What a joke, M$...
