Zoomtown 5mbps available everywhere?

Is everyone getting 5mbps speeds now? I'm still at 3 and I am more than close enough to the CO. I called support and they said that 5Mbps is not available in my area. Any advice or should I just switch to cable? (Insight)

It's available in the Mason/Loveland area.

I was told they are rolling Zoomtown Max out in stages and that currently ~10% of the area is eligible. Don't know how long it will take them to upgrade and complete the rollout.

Hello:

I live in Anderson Township and currently have 3 MPS. Below are the stats from the Westell Modem. Does anybody here know if I will be able to get 5 MPS?

Transceiver Revision: 6.0.4.217
Vendor ID Code: 4
Line Mode: T1.413 Mode
Data Path: Interleaveble
Transceiver Information Down Stream Path Up Stream Path
DSL Speed (Kbits/Sec) 3072 768
Margin (dB) 10.0 7.0
Line Attenuation (dB) 57.5 31.5
Transmit Power (dBm) 17.1 11.9

Thanks,

Barry

I have Zoomtown in Anderson Township in two locations (home and work) Both locations I am at 5meg. My parents though live half a mile from my office and they just got Zoomtown the 1st of the year and are at 3meg. I am unsure about what modem you have, not goona look it up. All the Westell modems I have seen that support 5meg or more actually have DSL+2 on the label, but I am no expert I only play one on tv.

Thanks for the info. The Westell modem I have is capable of 8 megs so I guess the lines in my neighborhood are too crappy or I am too far from the CO. I was finally able to get a CSR at Cinti Bell to try upping the speed, but it would not work above 3 megs, oh well.

Thanks,

Barry

I'm in Xenia, and it looks like we've gone 5mbit as of today, that I've noticed. No complaints from me.

I am in South Cumminsville/North side and see about 1.2mb.
I doubt I'll see 5mb ever.
