 [HDTV] Cable Box Question

Can someone tell me which model Motorola cable box I will receive when I upgrade to HDTV? I have Patriot and live in Branchburg, NJ.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. I contacted Patriot and they said either a 6208 single tuner or 6412 dual tuner is what I would receive. My next question to the board is has anyone set up a 6412 dual tuner with a stand alone TIVO into a LCD HDTV? How did you wire it together?

I don't understand the question. Why would you pay extra for the PVR version if you wanted to record the shows using TIVO?

It will be 100% impossible to get the encrypted HDTV channels and next to impossible to get the broadcast HD channels. The only stream that would be remotely possible is the Firewire port. Never heard of a TIVO using that and it does not output HBO, ESPN, etc. Yes it is possible to record with a PC and I believe they figured out how to change channels too. TIVO support for that would be surprising.

Now if you you're talking about hooking up both to a TV, I can't imagine why the good old splitter wouldn't work (assume you don't have crap signal levels) and I sure hope you're not posting on forums for help like that
