The motorola set boxes and samsungs using hdmi dont work to good together. Your better off using component cables. If your only getting mode not supported your lucky, most of time the samsungs cause the STB to lock up and you have to power reset the box to clear it.

My Samsung LCD and DLP work fine with the Motorola box HDMI. You just have to make sure 4:3 override is not set to 480i.
