For 6M, which is what you want...

Through various Qwest resellers I've got
1 yr ... 1,702.40/month + $1,105 install + your router
1 yr ... 1,885.00/month + free install + your router
1 yr ... 2,211.00/month + free install + free router
2 yr ... 1,664.00/month + $1,105 install + your router
2 yr ... 1,674.00/month + free install + your router
2 yr ... 1,957.00/month + free install + free router
3 yr ... 1,638.40/month + $1,105 install + your router
3 yr ... 1,644.00/month + free install + your router
3 yr ... 1,918.00/month + free install + free router
if you get your own router, you should purchase from a local dealer for best support.

Through Qwest direct, billed and service by Qwest I've got
2 yr ... 1,955.00/month + free install + free router
3 yr ... 1,760.00/month + free install + free router
Qwest will provide an Adtran router, with service and support direct from Adtran!

Does this help?

Yes, those are a bit better prices. How much does it drop if you go down to 5mb instead of 6? The free router sounds a lot better than the $3000 I was quoted by the other source.

taking a T1 off (at 1.5Mbps), reduces the speed from 6M to 4.5M.

here are some options from a Qwest reseller for 4.5M...

1 yr ... 1,695.00/month + free install + free router
2 yr ... 1,493.00/month + free install + free router
3 yr ... 1,461.00/month + free install + free router

With these options you can upgrade at any time to a higher speed and the reseller will continue to provide the appropriate router. Just so I'm clear, the reseller retains title to the router -- you can use it, but it's not your asset.

Realize that with these dedicated connections, we don't have to say "up to" some speed level, and we don't have to say that speeds could vary based on "conditions." You would have a dedicated connection to a Tier One network backbone, so the speed and stability is consistently high, regardless of what other folks in your area are doing. As T1s are specially engineered data circuits, they also get priority relative to maintenance and support. This is not DSL signaling riding on a voice grade line which would be appropriate for your home.
