Re: PAP2

mazilo took your question to mean "Can you put two providers on a PAP2 -- one on Line 1 and the other on Line 2?" If this indeed is your meaning -- somewhat syntactically ambiguous in your post -- then the answer is yes. If you meant "Can I put two different providers on Line 1 and two other different providers on Line 2?" then the answer is no.

The design of the PAP2 specifically permits the use of two different VoIP providers -- which you can set up on the Advanced configuration pages for Line 1 and Line 2. To do this you must have access (UserName and Password) to your PAP2. If you have a PAP2 that is locked to a provider such as EarthLink or Vonage, it's either impossible or at least difficult to get PAP2 access. (There are "PAP2 unlocking" threads in the BBR Forums. Do a search, if you need more info.) With a ViaTalk provided PAP2, you can call CS and ask for your access information. With a BYOD PAP2-NA purchased by you, not "locked" to any provider, there is no passworded required toallow full access. [Be careful, some PAP2's purchased via eBay or other sources such as BestBuy are locked to a VoIP provider.]

thanks for the reply, Yep I wanted to have two separate providers for each phone line like my spa1001, never mind.

N9MD, thanks for the clarifications and I meant the former one.
