only 2 miles?

I guess that's pretty good for bb wireless?

But I feel bad for the people living 2.5mi. away who are bummed out.

I have TDS POTS service in Milwaukee WI. I wonder if they will rollout WiMax to the rest of there service area. I hope so.

Kind of what I was thinking. 2 miles? That's all? There are wireless providers around here doing three times that with off the shelf 802.11b gear....

Actually it is quite poor by today's standards. Current 900 Mhz systems have a lot more range at a tiny fraction of the cost. With this being such a micro deployment, it's creation is obviously not being based on any direct ROI studies, but for the publicity. That and $6 will get them a cup of StarBucks Coffee.
