latency

In general does anyone know if latency is good or bad with WiMax?

Re: latency

I've never used WiMax, but while using my Verizon EvDO card I run into pretty high latency...anywhere on the order of 120-250 ms. Lowest I ever had was around 98ms...and that was rare.

Re: latency

There hasn't been ONE commercial in Madison for this yet. Hmmmm... And there's a BIG billboard on the beltline ( West side) really close to their offices. I have a friend that works there, and he didn't tell me about this... LOL

I've seen tests posted with latency as low as 50ms in mobile use, probably much much lower with LOS. EVDO typically does about 90-250ms.

Re: latency

I posted the point-to-point fixed spec, which is what would compete with other last-mile technology. Mobile will probably be higher.
