Re: A new option for those who can't get others

Two pertinent questions:

A.) What's the average latency?
B.) What does one need to do (besides a rain dance) to get good reception? Will first floor windows surrounded by trees and hills be a problem?

I haven't heard avg latency but I've heard latency can be as low as 50ms and even lower. They are using 802.16e at 2.5Ghz, same as Sprint.

If you plan to use as a fixed connection at home, you can add a WiMAX repeater on roof so that it gets LOS, which should be available to consumers this year.

I'm not sure what the legality of the scenario he described is, but wouldn't it be about the same as owning a cell phone? That's licensed spectrum too...
