layoffs at the company (was: Teleblend Holding my # Hostage)

It is true, Teleblend is not a CLEC. They don't actually own any numbers.

Carriers are in no hurry to allow number porting as there's nothing in it for them to do so. They only port numbers because the government tells them they have to.

by the way, I've heard a lot of very ugly things are happening behind the scenes at Teleblend. I would STRONGLY encourage moving to another carrier just as soon as possible. don't wait. I've heard that 80% of the staff has been laid off without warning (most of them two weeks before christmas with no warning and no severance) and the company is deeply in debt due to the corporate head Bill Fogg stealing money from the company and not paying their bills. The few folks remaining to answer customer calls have to pull 12 hour mandatory shifts with no days off, no incentives, nothing, and those are the desperate.

I already moved back to Verizon. No way am I getting caught with my pants down again.

Hey voiper,

Can you provide proof on what you said? It would do a great service to TB customers here at BBR.

80%? Wow.

Based on reported quality of customer service, that means... 4 people laid off? If true, I guess there is only one guy left to not answer phones, e-mails, trouble tickets, etc.

I'm guessing that it ISN'T true, but that's what a lot of people thought about sunrocket 6 months ago.

Yes, please post your proof of this. I think that I might have a little better insight into this story.... I am curious to hear the story and how it came about.

Was kind of funny, of the 20% that didn't get laid off in the second round, quit. Due to how awful USA Telephone is. Bill Fogg does not like paying his bills. Keep in mind that it is his pocket, in which the profits go into. Since that is the case, anything beyond small refund request have to be approved by him. Good luck on getting those taken care of.

Oh it was a little more intense than that. It wasn't 20% who outright quit after the layoff at Teleblend in Mid-January, it was 90%. They have three employees as of now.

Find a new company, folks. I kid you not.

Hmm, ok so since you were a EX-call center employee and seem to know the ins and outs of Teleblend please explain. Wait, are you trying to say that you and your group ran the company. We did let some people go, and it was for performance reasons plain and simple. If you were doing such a job running the company then why am I still working at Teleblend and you are posting on a former lies, and bitter half truths to stir up trouble. Given the nature of the name you choose to post as, and the things you speak of it sounds like you were only a tier1 person and therefore had no idea. That is unless this is Lisa Bickford hiding behind some name, and posting from a fake location.

So, if anyone wants to know the real story and not the heresy and lies being posted here by ex-employees that are bitter that they could not keep their job let me know. I am happy to talk to you.

Wow...

This is an amazing post from a person who is supposed to be a public representative of a company. Keep it up - I'm sure it's attracting lots of customers.

I have to agree with that. It is a poor showing from the company, no matter how frustrated he/she may be.

I am an employee and here is what happened. The folks that were laid off were done so due to lack of productivity and they were only out of the support staff. They have all been replaced and since the new folks are going through training, the next couple of weeks will be a little bumpy. Once that is complete, there will be more people and the hours of operation will go back up.
That's the inside scoop.

Sure. We can answer you, but you never liked answers that you didn't come up with--even if they were right. You're still there, because they don't have anyone else to turn to right now. You've gotten in good, and you can stay there. Those who have left have gone on to bigger and better things. People were NOT let go for performance, as you might try to get people to believe. They were all given a letter from the company stating as much as well. It was the "current business climate." AKA, USA/TB is in over its head and running out of money. People were killing themselves for that place--working extra hours, working from home--some of each of those unpaid--going and finding the answers that you and the rest of your team refused to share, losing sleep and suffering health problems from the stress brought on by such a poorly run company. Those people on the front lines were taking the bullets for you and your company's lies. So, you want to come on and talk about half truths and lies and bitterness? Take a look in the mirror, and remember--what comes around goes around.
