Actually, it's not. Maybe for your Roadrunner it is but for ATT DSL there is no prohibition on servers. They are explicitly allowed.

So AT&T Worldnet DSL and AT&T DSL via SBC Global are two separate entities?

Yup. ATT Worldnet is the dialup ISP they ran before being eaten by the cowboys in Texas. They had DSL in some markets but not very much.

The current ATT DSL TOS states: "[S]ervice is intended for use with a single computer or a network of computer/servers."

I wonder what they thought people would use their DSL line for, if not a single or network of computers? Ha.

That's just an excerpt from a longer section, but yeah. It is language which used to be used to distinguish between business and personal use but the distinction was erased years ago. The wording is still there though, and you can bet the lawyers get paid by the word...
