| Where is the value? $55!!!! You have to be kidding. AT&T is not competitive at all. Look at what most cable companies are offering.... 10Mbps+ for around $45. AT&T has decided to save itself and shareholders a nickel now by implementing poor technology only to cost it's customers big in the long run.
Value.... yeah right! |

That is if you have their cable service otherwise it's $10 more. I can get 6 mbps from at&t dsl for $43, $48 if I want naked DSL. |

| reply to WeSRT4 In Austin TX, the only alternative I have is Time Warner Cable Road Runner.
Their pricing is not on their website. I called and this is what they told me. I am not sure if this includes a bundle-with-TV discount.
Lite 768K/128K $27 Std 7M/512K $45 Turbo 10M/1M $60
So for me AT&T is very competitive. I currently have DSL Elite (6M/768K) for $35/mo ($40 plus a $5 discount) and they gave me 3 free months for switching from cable. I find it to be very reliable, good latency, zero dropped packets. When I had Road Runner it killed my VoIP because of latency and packet drop issues. |

| reply to WeSRT4 So where do you get your 10 Mbps for $45?
RoadRunner charges me $54.95. The only reason I pay $49.95 is because I get a $5 discount for having other services (digital cable, HBO and DVR service), but the base price is still $54,95
And actually, $50 is about my max budget for internet, unless the connection is really worth it. (i'd pay $70 for a 15/15 FIOS line). -- "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both" - Benjamin Franklin, Founding Father. |

With Uverse, you are FORCED to purchase TV service. $55 + the cheapest Uverse TV service ($57) = $112 + fees -- Canada = Hollywood North |
