Here are some pictures taken from uverse's glorious HD streams. The closeup picture (1/10th of the whole screen in a 40inch Sony XBR5 in freeze mode) is from the Matrix revolutions during high action scenes. Dark scenes are worse.

I experienced this same issue on UVERSE via FTTP. The HD quality was downright unacceptable.
