I have done several, no problems. I had to make sure both my router, and my firewall would let the pings in though.
I ping myself all the time from my cable to my dsl, and from my dsl to my cable.
Unless it's something new in your area, it must be on your side of the modem. |

I've had issues with the BBR Line Quality test when behind a router. Just going from pc to modem makes it work fine. |

It does seem like a lot of loss, even enough to get fails. A few points about it. It's entirely possible it's not really loss, and the routers are just setup to ignore icmp packets, or to give them very low priority. If you were really having that much loss, you'd be having some serious issues. Ok, maybe I didn't have a few points.. |

I've seen that same problem at xo.net as well... and on the other test I've seen similar problems with level3, though they seem to be acting nice for the moment. Sadly, suddenlink can't do much but complain to xo.net and hope they fix it, though you should still call suddenlink support and slog through the levels until you ind someone that understands there is a problem so at least they are aware. I suppose you could to to » www.xo.com/Pages/HomePage.aspx and complain but it might not do any good. |
