I expect that Verizon, for the time being, will slow down their whole rollout plan. Hmmm, that is an educated guess... Though I think FIOS is sort of exempt from that... People won't go out and buy new cars or go on vacations, but most people already have some sort of TV service / broadband service and the FIOS triple play pricing is attractive and much cheaper than Cable TV if you are switching from Cable to FIOS..
I know I am saving over $60/month for 2 years by having switched to FIOS over having service through the cable company... And service quality is much better, plus I get a free TV.

Since you got the letter, you are good to go! Congratulations! Verizon billing sucks... But there service is IMHO, high quality.. It can't be beat.
This is why I recommend people purchase the service online and make no changes until after installation. Otherwise, you have to deal with the billing bullshit. Verizon really needs to do something about that.
