Unfortunate One!!!

I would just like to vent, since Charter is just blowing me and 14000 or more users off. I use Web mail because I got tired of backing up my email data and converting it every time I redo my OS to another version of Linux or Windows which is quite often. So several years ago I went to pure Web mail because as a computer engineer of over 20 years, I new that they backed up their servers, RIGHT!!! So I complained loudly, to several corporates types with Charter they informed me that they do not backup residential customers data!!! No ifs, ands, or buts about it, they do not do it. So I asked them if they would send me that in writing and they said they could not do that because they were not a lawyer. I said if it is true that you do not backup residential customers data why do you need to be a lawyer to stand by your word. All I got was the same reply. I said do I need a lawyer to find out if you really do not backup residential customers data and she said if you feel you need a lawyer, then you should get a lawyer. So I am getting a lawyer and I suggest any one in the same situation do the same. It's a sad day went a IT company cannot man up to a mistake and just make it right. I would love to get responses back via email but, guess what my account is still meshed up!

Wow!! It just goes to show that people do not read their installation paperwork. Had you have done so, you would have read, IN WRITING, that nothing is guaranteed on a residential account. That would be with any ISP you choose. Quit whining and use G-Mail or sign a contract for a business account.
