I don't think anyone is suggesting that file/music sharing be part of a music forum, so you can sleep easy tonight. That would be easy enough to stop if anyone got frisky. |

But if I'm off-base in my thoughts about how a Music forum might turn out, I rescind my objection, fwiw.

| reply to AB said by AB :said by sansri88 :Reasoning please, if you want to say why? I'd like to find out why people would object to this. Here would be mine-- sounds like P2P and RIAA lawsuit central. So for that reason, *object*. All P2P has to do with Music is how the music is shared. Nothing, from the composition, lyrics, the music, instruments, band members, are touched by P2P.
The mean of sharing has nothing to do with the medium itself. It would be thefore very easy to move the innapropriate thread.
Let's not overexagerate things here |

And yes I have. And those are the comments I would not want to happen here, and the moderator(s) would have to keep an eye out on it. |

2 edits | reply to La Luna It would have to be the moderator to make sure that kind of stuff doesn't happen. One of the goals of this is forum is to expose people to different types of music, old or new.
An idea would be to have 2 moderators, one on the east coast and one on the west coast to keep an eye out on this forum. There are also the "super mods" who could check in once in a while.
The kind of comments like "that music SUX, lol" would have to be moderated/deleted, not appropriate for this type of forum.
I hope that clears up that point for ya!
Edit: Another idea, if possible, is to ban people from the Music forum only who repeatedly post stuff that doesn't contribute to the forum. I don't know if it's possible, if Justin or another mod could chime in on this that would be great.

| reply to sansri88 I would agree to this as long as discussions about ALL types of music were welcome, not just the music that the under 25 crowd listens to.
If I post something, I don't want to see "that music SUX, lolz!!".
