I'm not sure but I think I remember wimax uses the same modulation as wifi, OFDM. While Rev A uses 16-QAM. Which in my experience has proven to be more reliable.

I don't expect wimax to be great because of this. Plus who knows if it's going to have QoS implemented or not.
