muzscmanMr. PresidentPremium,VIP join:2002-02-15 Florissant, MO kudos:3 | [game] Kingmaker Here ye here ye.....here be the rules of the game:
* The Kingmaker may not reveal his role! Doing so results in an modkill. There are no restrictions for other roles. * The Kingmaker chooses two two players for Kingship: a main and backup selection. If the main selection is killed, the backup choice becomes king. * The selected King ends the day with EXECUTE (player). Don't do this if you're not the King. * The Kingmaker must choose a new, different King each night. Repeat Kings aren't allowed until there are five or fewer players left. * If the Kingmaker is executed, a new Kingmaker arises out of the loyal villagers and choose a King for the next day. If the Kingmaker is killed at night, a new Kingmaker similarly arises but the old Kingmaker's final choice is used for the next day. * If a deadline is used and the King does not execute anyone before the deadline, the King will be executed when the town grows tired of his incompetence! * No-lynch is not an option.

Will he listen to his loyal subjects, or will he pick one at random and start the killing??
What kind of king will he be???

|
 | reply to muzscman so how do we proceed?
do we make suggestions on who to execute?
It seems that a silent kill is not in the best interest of the town... we should at least all make a suggestion even if consensus isn't reached... I think we should do this so that some sort of history can start to emerge.
I haven't really thought how to go about winning this game, and I assume that the assassins have the advantage (due to learning curve of the uninformed minority in a different strategy style). -- DSLr Mafia Member. |

I think that since the voting system is ignored by mod, that under my rule, I shall adopt it..
So vote as you normally would, with the understanding that I might opt not to take the recommendation, or ask for further input.

Just messing... and trying to stir shit =-)
This is going to be very interesting and fun I think. A nice change of pace. |

MDRefereeFederal FlackPremium join:2001-10-21 Germantown, MD | reply to muzscman Alright... 15 players. My guess, from a game balance perspective, is we're probably dealing with 3 bad guys.
This game style could make for some interesting situations. Let me preface this by saying that I'm not trying to bring the wrath of King Gomez down on a loyal subject: We cannot always assume that today's King is on our side. Since the Kingmaker is among the uninformed majority, it is certainly possible that an Assassin ends up as King for a day.
Now, if an Assassin does indeed end up as our King, the question becomes whether he follows the will of his subjects, even if the villagers choose to execute one of his fellow assassins. My suggestion to our King -- unless you've got an explainable reason -- go with the village's suggestion or you'll draw some serious FOS. IMHO, your majesty.
Did we ever get a description of possible power roles in this game, or are we effectively playing a "closed" setup. Maybe I just missed that. -- If I didn't see it... it didn't happen! |
