I'm not for one or the other, but given what I know about people who call in about their Internet access, the average user doesn't care about the size of their pipe. It either, it works, or it doesn't. That's what they call abour. ONly a small percentage of a Cabel companies millions of users, would call in a complain about the size of the pipe or being capped, etc...
Those are the statistics, and it's why companies can do what they do.

Apparently you did not understand. This is not about the size of the pipe (speed) but how much you can download.
People obviously do care about the size of their pipe. If they did not we would still all be on dial up and the companies would not be offering increased speeds every year. You should also think again if you think people do not call in when things are running "slow". |
