They could buy the affordable equipment now and then in ten years as the need progresses and the technology matures, they can cut over to a higher rate. If they lay the fiber to interconnect everyone across a DS3, then why can't they use that same interconnect a few years later to up the speed?
That's all I'm saying, the physical layer is all they need fret about. Once they've laid the foundation then let the economies of scale sink in. |
