I'm present! I lost power for a little bit, and I didn't get out to vote, but otherwise in good shape considering the storms that ran through here.
I guess I need to round up my coat for tomorrow and put the shorts away. -- "I hope you did something important today, 'cause it cost ya another day of your life." |

1 edit | *Wow* -Watched the news tonight, that really was a rough night! I see Conway stepped clear of almost everything, wonder how that happened. Now it's getting pretty darn chilly, heat is back on in this house, lets guess; ICE tomorrow.
How are the other Southern States doing, you think? I see TN got a good hit too. LA should be wet by now.
What happened in OK?

| All this weather flipping got me sick, not used to being sick, so I'm having a tough time. But, heck when the switch flips form mid 80's to 20's in a blink of an eye, anything can happen.

| reply to Shaggy Was that really in LA? What's the World coming to when ya can't go get a gumbo, without boots on.
It's melting around here and I had ideas of springing forward to Summer in three weeks, before this little open door to the refrigerator, no wait! Freezer, happened! |

| That was really Shreveport. It was gone by Saturday though. It`s gonna be a crazy spring this year, just like last year -- "Look up, get up, and don`t ever give up" - Michael Irvin |

| reply to Kiwi Frigging rain is driving me nuts, I don't mind wet weather, but I would like to get out on the Lake!
Hey, anybody have an update on Greer's Ferry, I have two weeks off [Last week of this month] and very much overdue, as I have had to cancel the last four scheduled vacations; now I'm faced with no access to Greer's Ferry lake because of the White River high water. I really need this break, badly. If I took all my leave I would not have to work until the first week of November, but that does not help me now.
Anyone in the vicinity of Greer's that can establish the expected public access to the lake?
Thanks |

Kiwi Premium join:2003-05-26 USA | Looks like the Winter got a last dig in, so much for a vacation. Still the shiny bright side is a lake 200' away, not the same thing though, as getting out of town for a wee bit. Thanks for the heads up. |

| G'Day mate. Nice site to bookmark.
The problem is when the White river floods it directly affects how much water the Greers Ferry dam will let out and it still looks like the White river is a problem. Last time I heard (Three days ago the Lake was barricaded from launching any boats).
Course, I could always barrel down to Texas |

| Yep, barrel on down.
A large hail zone passed only a mile or so north of us (one reported as being 4") and a "rotation" on the radar passed a couple of miles to the south of us at the same time. Two more cells to go for this evening. This is the most excitement we've had in many months. |

1 edit | reply to Kiwi Old folks will understand...I could spit friggin nails, needed a break and here we go again, RAIN,rain,rain...The promise of more freakin bad weather.
So much for Greers Ferry this weekend! If it was not for the lake across the road I would have gone crazy by now! Month after month of shitty weather and always on the weekend.

Happy 4th alternative.
[Edit] I got Jbob and his waverunner, my boat and we managed to sneak in about two hours on the lake across the road, had a nother friend that needed DEPENDS and wouldn't risk the weather. But we had fun and shots to prove it! Na, I'm not posting them.
Then it rained/stormed, well ducks go in, but we come out with lightening around. Course we just made it out. |
