Reverting firmware Actiontec Router

I had fios tv/internet installed 3 days ago and have been trying to configure the router so it it will do MOCA for my STB but allow my Buffalo Router to do the WAN connection. My router came with firmware 4.0.16.1.56.0.10.7, which doesn't allow the setup of VLANs like the instructions I read require.

I've tried going back to an older firmware posted online, but the router gives an error "The firmware upgrade file is not supported on this hardware version." Any suggestions on how to get my router to let me restore an older firmware?

figured it out, ended up not using VLANs at all and just bridging the broadband connection w/ the entire switch
