Hi MagMan
As i said in my original post the website will be updated in due course. The automatic part of the shock wave player that you have already installed will kick in at some point. You can try rebooting your computer as that is very effective or just by leaving your computer on should do the trick.

Not a problem There can be a 24 hour period for the automatic process to kick in.

Looks like you don't have to wait...
The link you provided installs the latest version: 10.3.0.24 despite the fact that the page lists it as 10.2.0.023.

Went to the download page and installed ontop of previous version. Works like a champ on Vista!

Could someone remind me where to find "Shockwave ActiveX Control Properties" as shown in Nick's screenshot above?

Hi La Luna
That can be found by going in to IE tools / INTERNET option's/ General then under the browsing history settings/ view objects. Then right click on the Shock wave ActiveX which will show you the properties

Ahh, thanks! I knew I had seen it somewhere!

Thanks Nick, and thanks for the heads up about the new version.

I was offered this Norton scan, which I declined:

Thank you Nick!
I've been shocked into submission, and was therefore unable to resist installing the latest version.

All is well now, however.

I just checked, I don't have the Shockwave ActiveX Control there either.

Only Shockwave Flash Object (which seems to be from the old Macromedia Flash Player) and a few others that are unrelated.

EDIT: where did Nick get that "Support" info in his first screenshot?

I am totally confused, as always....
