Re: Northeastern Illinois Launches into AT&T U-verse We have a high-rise right across the street from us blocking the Southern sky, or at least enough of it so that both the Dish and Direct folks have said fugitabouddit.
We will be moving fairly soon, and the house we are getting has a dish on it - I haven't had a chance to ask the present owners how well it works, but I'll dare anything - take any risk to get out from under the heel of Comcrap!
The folks further South from us, in Beverly or Mt. Greenwood I know who have WOW all seem to be happy with it. I don't know if it is still analogue or what sort of HD stuff they offer and I haven't found out because they aren't in this area. Only Comcrap and the satellite outfits and seeing as I can't get satellite, that leaves Comcrap or 2,5,7,9,11,20,26,32,50, and whatever else is left on terrestrial TV.
