They weren't shy about deploying the stuff. Only when Verizon did FiOS did they actually go beyond Bellsouth.]]></description>

They already have and do research as it has been around for quite some time and used extensively.  It's only recently been made available directly to the homes.  If we had the patience and wisdom to spend more money on a completely wireless solution, we would not have to rely on any cable for transmission.
