| just got it in Boston I just had the Comcast Tivo installed- the technician came by spent two hours trying to download it to my existing DVR, was about to leave when I pointed out it didn't work at all, so he swapped boxes (DCT-3414 to 3416i). A whole morning wasted. I am still evaluating it but, as pointed out above, it has flaws. It is super slow, the OnDemand doesn't work (I have to find time to call to see about that), I do have the optical connection to my sound system- everything is pro-logic instead of Doblby digital, and the lack of 30 second skip is infuriating. My brother thinks it is worse, and I am not sure the tivo recommendations are worth the hassle. So, with the regular tivo and a cable card, the on demand doesn't work? That would be a problem. |
