Size. If you don't travel a lot and have use for a very thin and light notebook you are better off buying something else.

That would be great, but add on the weight of everything else you need to tote around to connect, etc, there goes the weight/thin arguement.

Actually, if size is what you're after, there are plenty of manila-envelope capable laptops out there, some with built-in 3G modems, that people can use. E.g. Toshiba Portege R500, most of the Sony VAIO ultraportables, etc. Granted, none of them will run Mac OS, so I guess if that's a requirement, I won't be able to help...

Yes, OS X is my preferred OS and to get that software I'm willing to overlook some hardware quirks like the USB clearance issue.

But overheating and other manufacturing DEFECTS are totally unacceptable thus I'll be waiting quite a while before ordering a MBA.
