You guys all know that the crap coming out now practically needs to be bombed from orbit to be taken out.

As for anti-virus software digging deep into the OS... we need that now to detect the crap that too roots itself deep into the OS.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the best way to remove malware is to never get it.

SAS is a phenomenal cleaner. I fix machine's on the side and that program has literally rescued machine's that I had planned on reformatting and installing a clean OS on. The AbLounge, Ultimate Chopper, and Don Lapre's real estate program do not touch it!!!

Currently, all resident AS requirements are being serviced by KIS7 (chose: AV or Firewall includes Antispyware).

I'm using SuperAntiSpyware Pro for on-demand scanning, and selected it.

I'm also using SpywareBlaster and the hpHOSTS file, and selected those.

Also, the only other security app I allow resident, with KIS7, is WinPatrol Plus. While not a "direct" AS app, I consider it's capabilities extremely beneficial for monitoring/alerting (and other features). So, I also selected "Other".

I'm currently tracking AVP(driveby),Z-lob(codec/driveby),DNS(codec/driveby),Storm,TIBS,Vundo(assorted types c/o keygens/drivebys) to name a few.

FWIW i will concede no one software gets them all,all of the time and the infections i track are really the tip of the iceberg although they keep me busy in new malwares and are amongst the most common seen in help forums ;)

Super AntiSpyware
Windows Defender

Windows Defender resident and SpywareBlaster protection installed, with the other two for occasional on-demand scans.

I also use Antivir, ThreatFire and SandboxIE.

It is also the first botkiller out of my toolkit when cleaning up clients hosed pc's ;)
