billybobthor : Well I am still waiting on the manager that came here on Saturday to call in to Uverse to let them know what went on at te house. I called him today and left him a message so he doesnt forget about me.

Other issues I had during the install which I didnt put in my other posts where;
The techs left thier blue booties thrown outside my front door in the snow.
They did not seal the hole on the outside of my house. The first techs very poorly installed the new jack inside the house.
The second tech that was going to replace the jack just left wires dangling from my wall when he left.
They left various tool parts, wiring parts and such laying around the house after they left.
They left the orginal equipment (the ATT boxes they had to swap out) laying around my house along with the new equipment for all three days.
They never disconnected my comcast lines fully from service.

Also I just upgraded to the 10/1.5 service and I am waiting on that to pop in. more speed? yes please....

billybobthor : Well I ordered U-verse when I found out the it launched in my area ( Volo, IL) They came out yesterday to try to install it.

I knew there were going to be issues when between the two techs they couldnt figure out how to fish the line in from the outside.

They got to my home around noon and finally at 1:30 the line was fished through. They then went down to the box and discovered a issue with something about 2 numbers were issued or something like that, so they had to call another truck to fix that.

As they waited for that tech to come the finished hooking everything up in the house. If I remember right around 3 or so the other tech was finished outside and we plugged everything in. Got all green across the board. I had no internet and the DVR box was failing on the update.

They called in to tech support and they had 'em replace the RG. Again got green across the board, no internet, dvr still fails. So they replace the DVR unit. DVR unit finally updates, no internet still, and then DVR gives a client error. The other two boxes upstairs are failing on the update.

After spending hours on the phone. Which that alone was a mad house, both techs had their supervisors on the phone who had each other on the phone who had tier 2 on the phone who had two other departments on the phone. It was pretty funny cause both techs burnt up the battery on their ATT cell phones then they had to switch to their personal phones then somewhere along the line my house phone came in to play.

Finally at 11:05 pm yes thats right both techs left my house. I still had no TV and no internet. It is now 10:50 am and I still have no TV and no internet with ATT. I had to hook my comcast crap back up.

So far my ATT is not fun.
