I agree, its nice they have those speeds, but after what they have said about bittorrent users I would never go to them for my main internet usage. Before I get flamed, I do actually use BT for legit uses, WOW updates are a big one, trials and linux ISO's are another. Revision3 shows are another big one for me as they download automatically. I'll stick to my Comcast, their sandvine is better than not being able to use BT at all.

I agree... I'll take the Internet, but I don't want their MS IPTV.

Also, it mentions $55 when bundled with TV. How much without IPTV ? Where do you order it standalone ? Oh wait, they don't advertise it standalone.

As far as their 3G goes, I had and used 3G voice w/o issues.

I don't see the problem then if you use BT for legit purposes. They never said anything about throttling bandwidth...Yet...

I think it's 10 bucks more a month. In any case, I have UVerse now, and probably am going to get rid of TV soon. If they start clamping down on Bittorent, I'll probably just go to dry loop dsl, provided by their.. left hand? It's a few bucks cheaper, but doesn't use this ridiculous gateway and seemed to be pretty damned reliable for me.

The TV is a joke though. The party really gets crashed by the WinCE boxes, which are just crap through and through.

It's been the reliability factor (compared to DirecTv) and installation time (many hours) as well as cost vs. what I have. For 3Mbps/U300/Uvoice, its at best equal in pricing to DSL that I currently have + POTS unlimited + DirecTv.

I would consider it for Internet only, or Internet + VoIP.

I don't recall that AT&T said anything about BT users in general, just that they plan to filter pirated content. The implication being that P2P transfer of legitimate files should not be affected. It remains to be seen if the technology to distinguish between authorized distribution and unauthorized distribution will work reliably, and on a large scale.
