Re: Uverse? Try "Re"verse While I agree that FiOS is a better overall strategy (esp. longterm), it isn't IPTV. -- Canada = Hollywood North |

bigunkGort, Klattu Birada Nikto join:2001-02-10 USA | Try this one. I was at a client in the hills of West LA who lost one of her phone lines. This was as the rains were nailing us. So I happened to see a Verizon tech in his van around the corner. I asked if we could get him to look real fast at this problem. His response was they had 1100 tickets in queue when the norm should be 200, so my client would have to wait her turn. I also asked about the FiOS in the area. He said it was at the bottom of the hill, but Verizon ran out of money to extend it for now, AND they were not paying much attention to the existing copper plant. So VZ clients in the area were getting double-screwed. -- There is not a man in the country that can't make a living for himself and family. en102Canadian, eh? join:2001-01-26 Valencia, CA 1 edit | Yeah - its been available since ~ last August. Since they've rewired the neighborhood (Valencia Hills - west of Wiley Canyon between Tourney and Orchard Village road), my DSL has been VERY stable, even during the recent rain.
According to AT&T, I'm at ~12,000' which they don't offer 3008/512kbps. They 'originally' claimed I was at 9,000' (CO didn't more 3,000' away)

I have a friend in Stevenson Ranch that just ordered a package. I have to go set up his network (make sure security is still OK) once they install it. I hope to have a better idea then. -- There is not a man in the country that can't make a living for himself and family.
