Also how does an ISP rationalize throttling legit users when there is a family of 6 using 5 computers in a home?
Mommy checks her recipes while catching up on her soap operas. Daddy does the banking & work related surfing while watching a little porn and using VUZE. The 4 kids do what kids do, itunes, homework(watching videos for knowledge), IMing their friends and updating their myspace & facebk pages ETC.
A family member had these issues with their cable co and I convinced them to switch to FIOS when their town was wired 2 years ago! There is NO illegal use of BT in their household as the father is in computer crimes unit of local law enforcement.
They no longer have any problems with FIOS but how long will this last? Will 'caps' be reasonable or will they be small so as to soak the 'legit' customer with a large family? |
