Dell, and others are set to sue Intel and Apple over the Apples first access and AMD is might well sue over Intel's marketing. -- Send a prayer to Allah, eat Beans. |

 | Apple paid for a custom CPU, no big deal there. In fact they bought older tech to make it happen and used Intel and Lenovo technology to make the MBA come to life. At least give them Kudos for coming to market first. When Lenovo is allowed to exercise it's full rights to some of the technology they developed for Apple, the difference will be HUGE in performance and features. That being said it will be speedy too! Figure the Lenovo's will be about $1K over the MBA. |

You compare a 10.4 inch screen? And don't use the average thickness?
The POINT of the Air is that it hits the 3-pound goal without using a teensy screen.
It has nothing to do with being "trendy" or "looking good."
It's for people who want a 13-inch laptop with a full-size keyboard that weighs 3 pounds and runs Mac OS X, Windows, Unix, and Linux!! PERIOD. That is who it is for.
If you want a smaller one, a cheaper one, an optical drive, one with all the ports, or one with a removable battery, all things that would add weight, then go for it. |

Average? Overall pal! In 4 years time, with way smaller built components today, all Apple was able to muster was 1.3MM thinner? All the while, providing a flawed USB and headphone port door? Form is useless without function.
Address the "breaking new ground" horseshit friend. The Air is nothing new! Thin and light has and is being done! Nothing "new" about it! LMAO! -- Think outside the Fox... Opera |

JohnnyPremium join:2001-06-27 Atlanta, GA kudos:1 | The R500-S5002 is an inch thick at the rear (thicker if you count the feet), only has a 12.1 inch screen, has half the RAM, and costs $400 more than the Air.
And it doesn't run Mac OS X. |
