Other than from time warner, where else in NYC can i purchase a cable modem that will work on time warner and which modem do you recommend. I am new to nyc and dont know much about time warner.

1 edit | Well there is no financial benefit to owning your own modem,
RR will let you use a modem(they don't sell them), and if it's the same in NY as here, for no additional charge.
You can purchase a modem at any place that sells electronic stuff; Best Buy, Walmart, etc.
Motorola SB51** works with RR, so do most of the others on the public market.

I have the cable modem BEFCMU10 ver. 4
I have ZERO problems with it.

When I had dsl broadband connection. They gave me a dsl modem to use for free. But told me if anything happens to the modem. They will charge me $300 dollars for the modem.
The weird part was the modem was old and outdated. They modem looked like it was left in the sun. |
