Then, apply power to the modem and allow it to to sync up. Boot up the laptop, and you should be connected.

I have EL installed by TW. I don't really need a hub to connect other pc's but every now and again i need to hook my laptop up

Cant seem to connect! first i tried obtaining everything automatically no cookies, then i tried entering the ip setting from my desktop. still nothing.

Like i said all i need to do occasionally is to pull the network cable from my pc and plug it in my laptop.

Can any one give me any idea's?
