2 edits | New titles from Amazon.com from $9.99 I can get a DVD for "just released to DVD" movies from Amazon.com for as little as $9.99. Why would I want to use a system from the cable companies to see it 1 day sooner and pay more too boot. |

I could understand paying for a service that would bring you theater movies to your home while they are in the theater. But not a recently-on-DVD movie for significantly more than Amazon. -- And so castles made of sand, slip into the sea, eventually.

Why not make the service more appealing by charging a more competitive price. I understand they want to partner with amazon, which is fine by me. I also understand that other online stores may have a better price point. However, make it affordable and more people will do it. $20 is too steep in my opinion. I would go for $10 + shipping and I bet a lot more people would as well. |

Amazon already has their Unbox download service working for TiVo users, which totally bypasses the cable company, and even with the TiVo monthly fee their $2.99-$3.99 unlimited rental price is enticing. THIS is what the cable companies are really afraid of. -- Toolmaster of La Grange. |
