Re: OBD2 tool

I have the ELM 327-USB tool.
It supports all the OBD2 protocols which is why I bought it. (future proof with the CAN protocol)
I bought it off Ebay for like $80.

I have used it fine with these different softwares with Windows XP:
PCMSCAN
Proscan
wOBD
Digitmoto
OBD II Scanmaster
Some are free and some cost money, I did find the ones that cost money for free though.

It does not work with autogeninuity software.

If all you want is to read codes and reset codes, you can find standalone units, but with the USB reader it displays many sensors, live stats, tempuratures, etc.

Thank you this looks perfect for what I want. Now I need to figure out what software to use.
