does anybody know why espn news doesn't fill out the screen?
the teleticker goes all the way cross but the picture has black bars on the side of it. |

1 edit | Is this on a HD set? Try setting from 4:3 to 16:9. If it is the HD channel, that is due to you are seeing a SD sudo-broadcast on the HD channel. |

Minersville, PA | i am watching on a HD tv, but its on a SD channel, my settings are right, in fact my tv automatically stretches the pic out if there are black bars on the side or the top or the bottom, but it doesnt auto stretch on espn news! |

ESPNNews shrinks their video window so that the full video can be seen in a smaller size to accommodate the large ticket. The black bars are normal for ESPNNews. |

ESPNNEWS HD doesn't go live intill March. If your taling about the Ticker on the channel you can't do anything about that.
It needs a compeitor like maybe Sporting News/FSN can do a 24/7 Sports News Channel.
Also a National FSN Channel and Regional ESPN'S. |
