 | What do you expect? It's funny how everyone wants more, more, more, but wants to pay nothing for it. |

 | Compare what you pay today and what your speeds are to just 5-6 years ago. Where I live, Comcast high speed internet was the same cost per month, yet the speeds were half as fast as they are now. |

| It is true that speeds have increased, so maybe this analogy doesn't hold up perfectly... but... and I say this.... While I now have much faster internet, I have much LESS service then I used to have. I remember the days of the full service ISP.
I remember having shell access, server side storage, hosting for websites/files/whatever... unthrottled newsgroup access etc
I have none of those things now. But I do have a faster connection. Will it double tho in the next five years? Doesn't look likely... although the price might. -- "Regulatory capitalism is when companies invest in lawyers, lobbyists, and politicians, instead of plant, people, and customer service." - former FCC Chairman William Kennard (A real FCC Chairman, unlike the current Corporate Spokesperson in the job!) |

 | I think it will get faster. Currently 8mb is available, and I heard that number will get higher in the next year or two. |
